School Day

ECD A and B

The school starts at 8.30 am and finishes at 4 pm. We also offer a 7am drop off where the children are supervised until lessons begin.  We do not currently offer any transport. Below is a timetable of the school day:

  • 08.30 – 08.50 – Assembly, Praise and worship
  • 08.50 – 09.45 – Mathematics and free flow activities with computer lessons
  • 09.45 – 10.00 – Shona
  • 10.00 – 10.45 – Morning snack & outdoor play
  • 10.45 – 11.45 – Literacy and free flow activities with computer lessons
  • 11.45 – 12.05– Phonics / English
  • 12.05 – 12.25 – Bible teaching & televised learning
  • 12.25 – 14.30 – Hot Lunch followed by nap time
  • 14.30 – 15:30 – Outdoor play / Physical Education / Computer lessons / Swimming
  • 15:30 – 16:00 – End of day: Drinks, snacks, story & songs

Primary

  • 07.45- 08.00 – Registration and Changing reading books
  • 08.00 – 08.30 – Phonics
  • 08.30- 09.00 – Assembly, Bible Teaching and Praise and Worship
  • 09.00 – 09.45 – Maths, Home Economics
  • 09.45 – 10.15 – Snack and Playtime
  • 10.15 – 11.00 – Shona
  • 11.00- 12.00 – Science, English, Social Studies
  • 12.00- 1.00 – Swimming (selected), Sports/Physical Education, Art, Music

 FRIDAY is early close – children must be collected by 1.00pm

Nap Time:

We do not provide blankets at school so if your child wishes to sleep with a blanket then please bring one to keep in school. Please be aware that if your child does not sleep during the day you may be asked to collect them after lunch as nap time is the only break our staff get.

Snack Time:

Please pack your child a snack to eat in the morning. This should be no more than 2 items. For example a biscuit and a piece of fruit. Snacks are a great way for you to educate your child on a healthy diet therefore NO SWEETS, CHOCOLATE OR FIZZY DRINKS are ALLOWED.

Menu

  • Monday – Sadza, Beef  Stew and Vegetables
  • Tuesday – Rice, Beans, Soup and Vegetables
  • Wednesday – Rice, Roast Chicken and Vegetables
  • Thursday – Spaghetti, Beef Mince and Vegetables.
  • Friday – Sadza, Beef Stew and Vegetables.

Afternoon Snacks – Biscuits, Fruit, Mazoe, Water, Popcorn

This menu is included in our fee structure but please be aware that we do not cater for any dietary requirements. If your child requires a different menu for any reason you may be asked to pay for their food or send them with their own meal.
